Our custom treatments can include therapeutic massage, acupuncture, cupping, aromatherapy, physical therapy, spinal traction, and/or chiropractic manipulation. If one does not feel comfortable with chiropractic manipulation and/or acupuncture, massage therapy and other natural physical medicine techniques can be just as effective. Some of our services are covered by medical insurance or an HSA. Inquire and we can verify your insurance benefits.
Meet the Doctor
Dr. Christine Marian
Dr. Marian graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign. However, early in her engineering career she decided to pursue a different and additional new career as a natural medicine physician as she realized that her true life passion was to help people heal naturally. She returned to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic medicine from the University of Health Sciences @ Lombard, IL. In addition, while at chiropractic college, Dr. Marian completed her education as an Acupuncturist. Dr. Marian is licensed and insured in the state of Illinois.

I am an Illinois licensed and insured Doctor of Chiropractic and Acupuncturist operating Flower Power Natural Medicine, LLC within River West Family Fitness in Batavia, IL. However, one does not need to be a River West Fitness gym member to visit my office. I have over 20 years of experience practicing as a chiropractic physician and acupuncturist within Illinois utilizing therapeutic massage, physiotherapy, physical therapy, rehab exercise, hot/cold cupping, meridian acupuncture, dry needling, spinal traction, chiropractic manipulations (Diversified, Flexion/Distraction, Drop-Table, & Activator techniques), and many additional natural therapies.
One can only practice as a chiropractic physician and acupuncturist legally after extensive and required 8 years of medical grade science college courses. In fact, several science professors who taught chiropractic students at the University of Health Sciences @ Lombard, Illinois also taught courses to medical students at the University of Illinois @ Chicago. One must have a Bachelor of Science degree to enter an accredited chiropractic university and pass all national board exams after graduation. I chose not to go to medical college as I wanted to pursue a medical career without the use of prescription medications and/or surgeries which is the medical legal scope of a chiropractic physician. Chiropractors are very educated, empathetic, health care practitioners that in my opinion are the ideal physicians of the future. Furthermore, chiropractic physicians know our limits and co-manage patients and/or refer to other appropriate medical professionals when we cannot help them though natural means.
I offer an ethical, healthy, and happy clinical environment for patients to experience the many options of natural health care. Lastly, don't feel apprehensive or obligated to receive chiropractic manipulations as I have many additional alternatives like therapeutic massage and many other manual therapy techniques. When you meet me, please be upfront with your concerns and I will put together a therapy plan that is effective and makes you feel comfortable, at ease, and feeling great afterwards.
